Sounds crazy, but bass fishing can be so relaxing as well as getting your blood flowing. Relax and get comfortable while you stare down the fish, and yet you must keep your eyes peeled for anything while bass fishing.

There are some things that defy explanation, like how some folks take to bass fishing right away and love it, and others just can't stomach it. You either crave it or you don't.

Still, bass fishing has many facets that you don't see right away. For sure, when it comes down to it, there is nothing like the feeling of having a largemouth bass take the hook and fighting you for all he's worth on the line.

Bass fishing can be broken up into several factions depending on which species of bass you like to fish; some people prefer smallmouth bass, some prefer largemouth, and others go for striped bass. Even if you make a choice now as to which type of fish you want to fish for, you needn't fish for that one type all the time, it's just that many anglers do have a preference.

The number of bass fishermen that prefer boat fishing to all the other kinds, far outweigh those that don't. Maybe you are new to bass fishing and you are not sure if you could hack fishing from a boat, but don't have a boat or don't want to go out in a boat alone; then join up with one of the many bass fishing social groups out there and try it out with like minded people.

Starting out in bass fishing can be intimidating for some, so just join up with a party of fishermen and learn all you can about it. Get rid of your fears that are holding you back when it comes to bass fishing from a boat, and get in with a party of bass fishermen who can show you and teach you all you need to know to get your feet wet.
