Paintball is a pretty recent sport that has developed significantly in the past few years. Organized games and sequences become larger and more complex as more and more people begin to play and compete in this high-energy pastime. It is most likely better to play with other novices if you are one yourself because experience carries a lot of weight in paintball. In more intense paintball encounters, adept competitors will often form paintballing groups. When amateur competitors have learned some of the basic tactics and techniques of paintballing and the accessories they can think about going into one of the more serious events. Each competitor and team has to form the best technique for themselves through experience and trial and error.
250 to 300 feet is the range the typical paint gun can shoot. They can get very pricey, but there are customized paintguns that have a lot better range and accuracy. It is more difficult for a competitor to make consistent shots because a paintball is not a solid object. It is crucial to get as close as you can to a target without endangering yourself to have the best chance of eliminating another participant. It is a wise idea for players to pin the opposition behind objects out in the field so they will be forced to hide. This will make them unable to see you as you move in on them. As you advance to their location, you may want to move to either side to change your angle. This will let you flank the enemy from the side. It is usually best to avoid face to face engagements with competing participants and attempt to eliminate them from covered areas so as not to endanger yourself.
One other critical part of paintball is taking cover and implementing the natural surroundings as a form of defense. When competing in surroundings like the forest, terrain is used for shelter and camouflage. Remaining in a single spot for too long and exposing their position is a prevalent mistake for a lot of beginning participants. They may eliminate a couple of the opposing team but allow for the others to sneak around and flank them. It is a wise move to remain moving as much as possible and to stay unseen for as long as possible. This will give a player the edge of stealth. Now, to give themselves the edge on the field and in organized events, many people are purchasing ghillie suits. When a competitor in a gilly suit is staying still to blend in with their surroundings the suit's special properties make it very difficult for opposing competitors to see them. Participants who want better mobility and field of vision by not having a ghillie suit may choose a technique of speed and offense to make up for their disadvantage of being easily seen.
When attempting to take cover in the game of paintball, position is really important to consider for a defensive strategy. Standing will give a player more dexterity by letting them escape fast in situations where they need to. A player limits what they can see around them when they kneel or lay down behind a large object like a rock or tree. This might allow for opposing participants to sneak up and gain the edge on you. High brush and bushes are good for both surprise attacks and defensive positions because they offer both camouflage and some visibility. If a player finds that he must crawl between two objects to stay under cover the dexterity and stealth goes down and they will discover that it is hard to get away rapidly in this position.
