In the last several years the game of paintball has grown exponentially. As more people begin to get into and compete in this energetic activity, organized games and sequences become larger and more complex. Experience counts for a lot in the game, so if you are a novice player it would probably be in your best interest to play with other novices. In more intense paintballing scenarios, professional players will commonly join teams. Once amateur competitors have mastered many of the standard strategies and techniques of paintballing and paintballing accessories they can think about going into one of the more serious encounters. Trial and error is the best way for participants and groups to form the best techniques for themselves.
The standard gun can shoot a ball around 250 to 300 feet. They can become extremely expensive, but there are modified paintguns that have significantly farther range and accuracy. It is more difficult for a player to make steady shots because a paintball is not a solid projectile. It is important to get as close as you can to a target without endangering yourself to have the best chance at eliminating another player. Players will have to take shelter out in the open if you fire at them and hold them down. This will allow you to advance on them while keeping them unable to see precisely your position. As you move in their direction, you may want to go to either side to change your angle. This will let you flank your opponent from the side. To avoid endangering yourself and efficiently eliminate other players it is generally better to stay away from face to face encounters.
One other critical part of paintball is taking cover and implementing your terrain as a defense. When competing in surroundings like the forest, terrain is used for shelter and camouflage. It is common for beginner competitors to make the error of staying in one place for too long and endangering their position. They may eliminate one or two of the opposite team but allow for the others to sneak around and eventually flank them. To remain unseen as long as possible is a wise move as well as attempting to keep moving as much as possible. This gives a competitor the edge of surprise. Many players nowadays are buying gilly suits to give themselves the edge on the playing field and in organized events. When a competitor in a gilly suit is being still to blend in with their surroundings the suit's special properties make it extremely hard for other competitors to see them. Players who want greater mobility and field of vision by not wearing a ghillie suit may choose a strategy of speed and attack to make up for their disadvantage of being easily seen.
When attempting to take cover in paintball, position is really significant to consider for a defensive strategy. Standing will give a participant the most mobility by letting them escape fast in situations where they have to. A person limits what they can see around them when they kneel or lie down behind a big object like a rock or tree. This may allow for opposing players to sneak up and have the advantage with you. High brush and bushes are good for both surprise melees and defensive locations because they have both cover and some visibility. A player will find it difficult to get away quickly if he has to go between two barriers to remain under cover and will discover their dexterity and stealth go down exponentially.
