If you are going on a rafting trip for the first time, be honest in evaluating your physical abilities and choose the difficulty of the run according to them. Even if you’ve already had some rafting experience and feel that you are rather familiar with the water, that doesn’t mean that you know what to do better than your guide. Remember that guides are experienced outdoor enthusiasts with special training who know exactly how to act on the river.
